It’s time to rethink the system.
What was new to football and referees in 2014 is now obvious. Vanishingspray has become part of modern football today. When a referee sets up the wall, players have a clearly visible line to respect. As a result, far fewer yellow cards are drawn in this phase of the game. This is a win-win for all parties.
‘Expo-Line Vanishingspray goes one step further. We offer football federations a Vanishingspray Workshop. I guide referees for one day to see if they are using their Vanishingspray correctly. You can see it as a workshop for professionals,’ says former top referee Frank De Bleeckere.
‘The workshop consists of a technical session explaining how to use it. This is followed by a practical session on the football pitch,’ De Bleeckere continued. ‘Last month at the Koning Boudewijn Stadium, we gave the first workshop to three Belgian referees from the Jupiler Pro League.’
In May, De Bleeckere takes a plane to Denmark. ‘Danish referees will use Expo-Line Vanishingspray in their Superliga from next football season. I am going to give a foreign workshop there. That way they can start the season well prepared.’
